Mozilla Advocacy

Because of its mission to keep the web open and accessible, Mozilla was an early advocate for internet safety and privacy, bringing Net Neutrality and surveillance issues to the forefront of public consciousness. To spread awareness on the issues I designed two tools: 1. A survey to engage users to sign a petition and think about privacy differently (and to help us segment target users), and 2. A tool to automatically connect callers to their senators. Both tools led to increased engagement and advocacy efforts at Mozilla and with partner organizations.

A second advocacy initiative prompted users to call their representatives to talk about Net Neutrality by making it dead simple – put in your phone number, get a script, and get connected to your rep.
